Situation

Michael O. Callaghan, former Federal Prosecutor and former Chair of the WV Democratic Party ran for Congress in the Second Congressional District of West Virginia against a three time incumbent.

Strategy

With limited funding and a large geographical area to cover, the focus became running a strong, grassroots campaign and quickly gaining name recognition

Crucial to the campaign was community outreach and involvement to gain perspective on the needs of the people.  

The distinct look of the candidate was focused on for building recognition across the district.
